'POLE VAULT'

Many people seemed to have loved last month's action drawing competition. So we're going to do something similar this month. Below are two action analysis guides on the amazing contortions that pole vaulters go through to make their vault...
Picture

Challenge:

I want you to research this action further ~ through other photos and videos ~ so you know exactly how a pole vaulter does it. Then animate or draw a sequence of pole vaulting yourself, using a character of your own creation or choice.

However, I want you to also invent a scenario, other than in track and field, where a pole vault might be either funny or ingenious. Be as imaginative as you can, as there will be extra grading points for originality as well as accuracy of action!

Submit your animation using a movie file (not GIF please), or if you do it as a drawing exercise then you should submit a minimum of 4 drawings to define the action you have in mind. (That is, 4 drawings on ! single digital image file please).

Clearly 'the sky's literally the limit' on this one folks!

Have fun!  :)
