SEPTEMBER 2019
"Happy Centenary" Felix! It is now 100 years since "FELIX the CAT" made his debut on the animation scene. However, a great deal has changed in all those 100 years. So . . .
YOUR CHALLENGE:
The challenge this month is to come up with a single drawing that shows how the old Felix might respond, view or interact, with a character or a situation in our modern animation world of today. You can of course be as wacky and/or imaginative as you like. Just make sure that your drawing clearly tells the story you're trying to communicate from the past to the present.
Note: There have be over 200 new members sign up over the past few months, all committing to doing a drawing for our monthly challenge. Here's a chance for both new members and old members to step up to the plate and show that there is still value in the "Animator's Sketchclub" continuing to exist. Felix is a very easy character to draw, even for the most "drawing challenged". So there's little excuse in everyone not creating a single drawing with him this month I would have thought!
P. S. For more information about "FELIX". . . click HERE for what Wikipedia says about him. The downloadable model sheets below should give you all you need to know in terms of drawing the Felix of old . . .
